In my recent read “Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn” by John C Maxwell, I stumbled across a humorous story.
The particular chapter was on “what happens when we don’t take responsibility”. Point 2 in this chapter is when “we have unrealistic perspective of how life works” and the pitfall of comparing ourselves to others.
This little story was written by a woman who says that in her next life, she would like to be a bear. She wrote:
If you’re a bear you get to hibernate.
You do nothing but sleep for 6 months.
👍I could deal with that.
Before you hibernate you’re supposed to eat yourself stupid.
👍I could deal with that too.
If you’re a bear, you birth your children (who are the size of a walnut) while you’re sleeping and wake
to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs.
👍I could definitely deal with that.
If you’re a momma bear everyone knows you mean business.
You swat anyone who bothers your cubs.
If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too.
👍I could deal with that.
If you’re a bear, your mate expects you to wake up growling.
He expects that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.
Yep………………..
Gonna be a bear!
