Energy Crisis!

A few weeks ago I had tea with a few friends and what I noticed was at the end of each chat, they would say something to the effect of “thanks, I needed your energy”. While I absolutely adore these chats & love my friends to death, I find it to be incredibly draining, spending hours holding space for them. Which got me thinking, Why do we, the empathetic men & women, of the era, wait until we are at an all time low before recharging.

Lets look at our cell phone or laptops. They get to 5 or 10% and we drop everything we’re
doing and rush to get a charger. Heck if we’re out we will post on facebook for a friend to bring one, or ask a stranger to borrow theirs. The world gets put temporarily on hold until our device gets back to its power source…
